This Fuzen review looks at the AI app builder behind one of September’s busiest AppSumo deals. Fuzen promises ready-made CRM, HR and ERP apps you can reshape by chatting, with no per-user fees. The honest question is not whether it can build an app. It is what you give up in return: code ownership, EU data options and a lot of AI credits.

This review is based on public user reports and statements, not on a hands-on build: Fuzen’s AppSumo listing with all 9 reviews and 39 buyer questions, the founder’s answers there, fuzen.io, the one AppSumo-sponsored YouTube walkthrough, and Reddit threads. Sources are linked in the text. Last updated: 29 September 2026.

$79 once. 2 apps. 100 AI credits a month.
Fuzen’s Tier 1 lifetime deal mirrors its Starter plan. The daily credit figure is a cap, not an allowance, and apps can never leave Fuzen’s hosting.

Fuzen fits…non-technical owners outside the EU who need one to five internal business apps (CRM, HR, inventory) and are happy to stay on Fuzen’s hosting.
Skip Fuzen if…you need code export or self-hosting, serve EU clients with personal data, want to resell template-built apps, or expect heavy daily AI iteration on Tier 1.

Key Takeaways

  • The Fuzen AppSumo deal costs $79, $159 or $299 once, with a 60-day refund. The tiers copy the limits of Fuzen’s Starter, Growth and Business plans. (AppSumo, fuzen.io/p/pricing)
  • “10 credits per day” means a maximum of 100 a month on Tier 1, not 300. Each AI prompt costs about one credit. (founder answer)
  • There is no code export, no GitHub push and no self-hosting. Data leaves as CSV. (founder answer)
  • Data sits in the US with no DPA, no SCCs and no EU residency. The founder calls that “likely a blocker” for EU client work. (founder answer)
  • AppSumo shows 4.89 from 9 reviews, but 5 carry AppSumo’s “Incentivized” label. Fast-draining credits is the most repeated complaint. (AppSumo reviews)
  • Bubble starts at $59 a month billed annually, AppSheet at $5 per user a month, Lovable at $25 a month. Only Lovable’s FAQ says you own the code. (bubble.io/pricing, about.appsheet.com/pricing, lovable.dev/pricing)

1What is Fuzen?

Fuzen is a hosted AI app builder for business apps. You start from one of 45+ templates, such as a CRM, HRMS or ERP, or describe an app in chat. The AI generates the database, pages, workflows and user roles, and Fuzen hosts the result on its own subdomain or your custom domain.

Fuzen review: the fuzen.io homepage with the claim Built by AI, tested by humans, owned by you and the $79 AppSumo banner
Fuzen’s homepage, 29 September 2026: templates, a paid custom build, or the do-it-yourself AI builder.

The company behind it is FuzenApps Solutions Pvt Ltd, led by founder and CEO Pushkar Gaikwad, an IIT Bombay graduate. AppSumo verified his identity through PandaDoc (AppSumo). A second team account, Girish_Fuzen, also answers buyers. The AppSumo company box says Fuzen was founded on 13 May 2022 in Nashik, India, with 1–10 employees and seed funding. Fuzen’s own About page footer says Pune instead (fuzen.io/p/about-us). Both are in Maharashtra, but the records do not match.

Fuzen is not brand new, yet the AI builder is. The founder wrote on 21 September that Fuzen spent its first three years as a drag-and-drop no-code platform “like bubble.io”, and that the AI builder is about one year old (founder answer). That matters for a lifetime deal: you are buying into a product that changed direction recently.

There are three ways in. You can install a ready-made template and adjust it with AI. You can describe an app from scratch in the chat. Or you can pay Fuzen’s team for a custom build, which is not part of the lifetime deal. The template gallery lists about 45 apps, including 17 CRMs for trades such as real estate, solar and dental, plus HRMS, payroll, inventory, manufacturing ERP, CMMS and field-service apps (fuzen.io/p/apps).

The marketing is bold. The About page claims 50+ apps delivered, 30+ industry verticals, 3–6 weeks average delivery and “90% cost savings vs agencies”. The homepage promises prompt-to-production “in under 10 minutes”. Those are the maker’s claims, which no independent source confirms.

2Fuzen pricing in 2026: AppSumo deal vs direct plans

On 29 September 2026 AppSumo listed Fuzen at $79 for Tier 1, $159 for Tier 2 and $299 for Tier 3, paid once with a 60-day refund. Each tier copies a monthly plan: Tier 1 matches Starter, Tier 2 Growth, Tier 3 Business. Direct plans run from $19 to $89 a month on yearly billing.

100, not 300
Tier 1’s “10 credits per day” is a cap. The monthly total is 100 credits. The founder confirmed the same logic for Tier 2: at most 30 a day and 300 a month. Bought add-on credits are one-time and do not refresh.

Growth$45 / month$59 / month300 / 5, BYOK, custom code, 50% off premium templates
Business$89 / month$109 / month800 / 10, 50 GB storage

The pricing page contradicts itself. The cards show $19, $45 and $89, and our screenshot shows the Yearly toggle switched on. The FAQ on the same page lists $24, $59 and $109. Kenneth Fong’s video also names Growth at $59 a month. The most likely reading is that the lower figures are yearly billing and the higher ones monthly, but the page does not say so directly (fuzen.io/p/pricing).

Extra capacity is sold separately. Credit packs cost $5 for 25, $15 for 100, $35 for 300 and $75 for 750, and bought credits never expire. Plan credits reset every month without carry-over. Extra storage is $5 a month per 100 GB, and one million extra data rows cost $15 a month (fuzen.io/p/pricing). If you exceed a monthly hosting limit, you get an alert and a two-week grace period to upgrade (founder answer).

Two conflicts to know before you pick a tier

BYOK and template discounts. Bring-your-own-key lets you plug in an OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key so prompts stop using Fuzen credits (founder answer). The AppSumo card still ticks BYOK on Tier 1. But the founder tied own-model use to Tier 2 and 3, and said the 50% template discount applies “if you are on the tier2/3 plans” (founder answer). Fuzen’s own pricing page lists BYOK and the discount under Growth, not Starter. Our safe reading: assume BYOK needs Tier 2.

$69 or $79? Kenneth Fong’s sponsored video from 15 September says the deal “starts at $69”. On 29 September AppSumo and Fuzen’s own banner showed $79. The earlier figure was probably a launch or Plus-member price, but that is not confirmed. Check the listing on the day you buy.

Premium templates cost extra, one time. The founder’s example was a WhatsApp template listed at $236, on launch offer for $118, with the 50% lifetime-deal discount applied to $118 (founder answer). Several buyers asked for a list of which templates are free and which are paid, and did not get one (AppSumo Q&A).

If the credit math sounds familiar, it should. Our TubeOnAI review ran into the same question: what a lifetime deal’s monthly credits really buy once you use the tool every day.

3Lock-in, data and GDPR: the caveats that matter

Fuzen apps cannot leave Fuzen. The founder confirms there is no code download, no GitHub push and no self-hosting, and data exports are CSV. Data is stored in the US on Google Cloud and MongoDB Atlas, without a signed DPA or SCCs. For EU client work, he says, that will “likely be a blocker”.

0
Ways to export or self-host a Fuzen app’s source code today. The founder says users would receive their data and source code if Fuzen ever closed. That is a promise in a Q&A thread, not a contract term.

This is the most upvoted question on the listing, and the answer clashes with Fuzen’s own marketing. The About page says “No vendor lock-in. The code and data are yours”, and the homepage headline ends with “owned by you”. The founder’s answers on AppSumo describe something else: apps stay on Fuzen’s hosting, and there is no export. For the lifetime deal, trust the founder’s Q&A. One AppSumo Plus member replied simply: “They should be exportable without lock-in.”

You also cannot edit everything by hand. The data model can be viewed visually, but changes to the data model, workflows, roles and code all go through the AI (founder comment). So every structural fix costs credits, unless you use your own AI key.

GDPR and EU clients

A Norwegian reseller asked whether Fuzen could host GDPR-compliant white-label apps for EU clients. The founder answered on 16 September with unusual candor: data is stored in the United States, there is no Article 28 data processing agreement, no standard contractual clauses, no EU data residency and no published subprocessor list. He wrote that he “wouldn’t call it fully GDPR ready today” (founder answer).

“Since your clients are in Norway and the EU, the missing DPA, SCCs and EU hosting will likely be a blocker today.”— Pushkar_Fuzen, Fuzen founder, 16 Sep 2026 · source

The buyer’s reply: “this leaves me to not take the chances to sell it to my clients.” You cannot swap the built-in database either, though an app can call outside services such as Supabase through an API. If you or your clients are in the EU and the app stores personal data, this is the section that decides the purchase.

Multi-tenant apps and reselling

A multi-tenant SaaS app on Fuzen shares infrastructure and one database. Tenant isolation is enforced at app level through guardrails, not at infrastructure level. The founder corrected an earlier, contradictory answer after a buyer pushed back (founder answer). App-level isolation depends on the app’s rules being right, which is exactly the failure mode our Vibe App Scanner review describes for AI-built apps.

White-label resale is an “intended use”: custom domain, your own logo, no Fuzen branding. There is a catch. Apps built from Fuzen templates are restricted to your own company and cannot be distributed to clients. Only apps you build from scratch with AI can be resold (founder answer). Each deployed copy also counts against your app limit, so the same app on three client domains uses three app slots. The workaround is one multi-tenant app with shared branding (founder answer).

Once an app runs on your own domain, it is worth scanning the live site like any other. Our Barrion review covers weekly checks of headers, TLS and DNS for hosted apps.

4What do users report about Fuzen?

Early buyers like how fast Fuzen gets them to a working internal tool, and several praise support. The recurring complaint is credits: every prompt costs one, and fixing bugs burns through them. Design is called a little dated. Keep in mind that 5 of the 9 AppSumo reviews are labelled incentivized.

On 29 September Fuzen had a 4.89 average on AppSumo from 9 reviews: eight at 5 tacos and one at 4. There were also 39 buyer questions. Five of the nine reviews carry AppSumo’s “Incentivized” label, so read the scores with that in mind (AppSumo reviews).

“Every prompt costs a credit, and they disappear fast when you’re refining an app or fixing bugs.”— AppSumo reviewer with 907 deals, 5 tacos, incentivized review, Sep 2026 · source

The same reviewer calls Fuzen painless for internal tools and the design “a little dated”, noting that uploading a screenshot helps. The bottom line: “If you need something polished and design-heavy, you’ll hit limits.” The only 4-taco review, from andrewjhimself, built an e-commerce profit tracker with prompts written by ChatGPT. His main negative is the same: “When you’re actively building and refining an app, credits can go quickly” (source).

“With my first prompt I was able to get a semi workable web app.”— KayJ, non-technical buyer, 5 tacos, incentivized review, Sep 2026 · source

KayJ also says she uses more credits than she would like. On the positive side, venkat34 built a complete HRMS and praises support (source), and vikjain05 calls it the “best alternative to bolt” (source).

The sponsored video review

The most detailed public walkthrough is Kenneth Fong’s “I Built a Business App in 1 Hour Without Code (Fuzen Review)”, published 15 September 2026 on YouTube (youtube.com/watch?v=ROQc6wLoLsg). He says in the video that AppSumo sponsored it and that he uses affiliate links, and he owns Tier 3. He built a tracker for YouTube experiments in about an hour. He did not set up automatic YouTube API sync, because it was too technical, and used CSV import and manual forms instead. Dark mode took several re-prompts. He puts break-even against the direct web plan at “just under 3 months”.

“I did run into an issue when I connected my custom domain, because I wasn’t able to log into my web app.”— itskenfong (Kenneth Fong), AppSumo-sponsored reviewer, 5 tacos, Sep 2026 · source

Support fixed it. In the same build, Fuzen’s AI chat offered him a team build of his app for $760, a reminder that the custom-build service is sold separately. Tier 2 and 3 holders get up to 25% off that service, capped at $500 (founder answer). Other YouTube videos, from Build Inspire, Paul’s Software Vault and The SaaS Deals, are all deal-adjacent and mostly carry affiliate links.

Reddit and support

Independent Reddit discussion is almost absent. Fuzen is recommended in about a dozen r/nocode and r/SaaS threads by u/Project-WhiteStar, who writes “we’re building” and “our team”. That is the Fuzen team, not an outside user (example thread). The one outside voice we found wanted to see the product before booking a call:

“why can’t there be a simple demo of the product on the website. I need some visual idea of the product before I commit…”— u/WindyCityChick, r/nocode, thread from January 2024 · source

Responsiveness came up on AppSumo too. A buyer complained about slow replies during the Plus week. The founder answered “that’s on us, and we’re watching this page daily now”, adding that comments under questions do not reach his dashboard (source). A demo tester reported slow site speed; the founder said apps stay on Fuzen hosting but support can optimise them (source).

Template coverage has gaps as well. There is no mechanic or vehicle-repair template yet, though the founder offered to build one (source). And while fuzen.io lists a “Legal and Law Firm” app, a buyer could not find it in the marketplace, and the founder said no law-firm template exists “at this point” (source). Templates cannot be merged into one app either; you combine processes through the AI, which costs credits (source).

5Fuzen vs Bubble vs AppSheet vs Lovable (2026)

Fuzen is the only one of the four sold as a one-time deal with no per-user fees and hosting included. Bubble gives a visual editor and native mobile apps from $59 a month billed annually. AppSheet charges per user. Lovable is chat-first like Fuzen, and its FAQ says you own the code.

AppSumo lists AppSheet, Appy Pie and Bubble as the tools Fuzen replaces, and buyers compared it with Lovable. Fuzen’s founder frames the Lovable difference this way: on Lovable the AI writes each app’s security rules, while on Fuzen the database, logins, roles, storage and hosting are built into the platform, and hosting uses no AI credits (founder answer). That is a vendor view of a competitor.

The price gap is real, but so is the trade. Fuzen’s deal is cheapest on paper because you pay once and hosting is bundled. You also accept 100 credits a month on Tier 1, no code export and US-only data. Bubble costs more, but offers native mobile apps and a hosting-location choice at the top end. Lovable costs $25 a month, has credits that vary by task, and lets you keep the code. AppSheet makes sense only while the user count stays small, because every user adds a monthly fee.

If your real need is contracts, invoices and proposals rather than a custom database app, a ready-made back office may be simpler. Our Accordio AI review looks at one built for freelancers.

6Is Fuzen a fit? Take the 30-second checklist

Is Fuzen a fit for you, and which tier?

1. Will your apps hold personal data of EU clients or users?
2. Do you need to export the code or host the app yourself?
3. How many apps do you need live at the same time?
4. How much AI iteration do you expect each month?
5. Will you resell apps built from Fuzen templates to clients?

How the verdict works: EU personal data or a need for code export means “skip”, based on the founder’s own answers. Otherwise the tier is the higher of your app count (2, 5 or 10 apps) and your credit need (100, 300 or 800 a month). Heavy iteration points to Tier 2 or higher, because the founder ties your own AI key (BYOK) to Tier 2 and 3. Limits from AppSumo, 29 September 2026.

7Fuzen pros and cons

Pros

  • One-time price from $79 with a 60-day refund (source)
  • No per-user fees; limits are server capacity, not seats (source)
  • 45+ business templates: CRMs, HRMS, ERP, field service (fuzen.io/p/apps)
  • Hosting, database, logins and roles built in; custom domain and no Fuzen branding (source)
  • Own AI key (BYOK) removes the Fuzen credit limit, on Tier 2 and up (source)
  • Buyers built working internal tools fast and praise support (source)
  • Founder answers hard questions candidly, including GDPR gaps (source)

Cons

  • No code export, no GitHub push, no self-hosting; CSV data only (source)
  • US data storage, no DPA or SCCs: likely a blocker for EU clients (source)
  • Credits run out fast while fixing bugs; Tier 1 is 100 a month (source)
  • Template-built apps cannot be resold to clients (source)
  • Tenant isolation is app-level, not infrastructure-level (source)
  • Design called “a little dated”; data model not hand-editable (source)
  • Conflicting info on BYOK per tier, pricing and a law-firm template (source)
  • 5 of 9 reviews incentivized; little independent discussion (source)

8Fuzen review verdict (2026): who should buy, who should skip

Fuzen is a practical way for a non-technical business owner to get a working CRM, HR or inventory app without per-user fees. The founder is unusually open about the limits, and those limits are the verdict. You rent the app from Fuzen forever, EU data is not covered, and the AI credits on Tier 1 are thin for real iteration. For spineye readers, that makes it a partial fit: good for internal tools outside the EU, weak for client work and anything you may want to move later.

Buy Fuzen if…you need 1–5 internal business apps, your data is not EU personal data, you are fine staying on Fuzen’s hosting, and you can live with a slightly dated design. Take Tier 2 if you want your own AI key.
Skip Fuzen if…you need code export or self-hosting, serve EU clients, plan to resell template-built apps, need native app-store apps, or want a polished, design-heavy product.

Our tier advice: Tier 1 ($79) only for one or two light-use apps. Tier 2 ($159) is the realistic choice for most buyers, because it adds 300 credits, 5 apps and, per the founder, BYOK and the template discount. Use the 60-day refund window to build your actual app and watch the credit meter.

Fuzen FAQ

What is Fuzen?

A hosted AI app builder for business apps. You start from one of 45+ CRM, ERP, HR or industry templates, or describe an app in chat, and Fuzen generates the database, pages, workflows and roles and hosts the app, optionally on your own domain.

How much is the Fuzen lifetime deal?

On 29 September 2026 AppSumo listed Tier 1 at $79, Tier 2 at $159 and Tier 3 at $299, one-time, with a 60-day refund window. An earlier sponsored video quoted $69, so the price has changed during the campaign.

Is “10 credits per day” really 300 credits a month?

No. The daily number is a cap. Tier 1 gets 100 credits a month (max 10 a day), Tier 2 300 (max 30 a day) and Tier 3 800 (max 100 a day). Each AI prompt costs about one credit; extra packs are $15 per 100, one-time.

Can I use my own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key to avoid credit limits?

Yes, BYOK usage does not consume Fuzen credits. But while the AppSumo card ticks BYOK on every tier, the founder’s answers and Fuzen’s own pricing page tie it to Tier 2 (Growth) and above, so assume you need Tier 2.

Can I export my Fuzen app’s code or self-host it?

No. Apps stay hosted on Fuzen; there is no code download, GitHub push or self-hosting. Data can be exported as CSV. The founder says users would get data and source code if Fuzen shut down, which is a promise rather than a contract term.

Is Fuzen GDPR-ready for EU clients?

Not today, by the founder’s own account. Data lives in the US on Google Cloud and MongoDB Atlas, and there is no signed DPA, no SCCs and no EU data residency. He called this a likely blocker for EU client work.

Can I resell Fuzen apps to clients?

White-label resale is allowed for apps you build from scratch with AI. Apps built from Fuzen’s templates are restricted to your own company. Each deployed instance counts against your 2, 5 or 10 app limit; one multi-tenant app is the workaround.

How does Fuzen compare with Bubble, AppSheet and Lovable?

Bubble starts at $59 a month billed annually, with a visual editor and native mobile apps. AppSheet charges $5 to $20 per user a month. Lovable charges $25 to $50 a month and says you own the code. Fuzen’s deal is one-time with no per-user fees and bundled hosting, but it locks the app to Fuzen’s platform.
